Week Two: Fables, Myths and Legends
Why do you think fables, myths and legends have had so much impact on storytelling? Fables, myths and legends have always had an impact on storytelling; they are some of the oldest forms of narrative. They're often linked to culture and history and can be used to preserve values and create a sense of community belonging as well as imparting a moral or explanation for something that might've been otherwise unexplainable. As well as this, they are a form of entertainment beyond cultural significance, which is why urban legends have prevailed despite not necessarily imparting a moral lesson. Create and idea for a game that's based on a fable, myth of legend (traditional or urban). If I were to create a game based on a fable, myth or legend, I'd probably look into urban legends that I'm familiar with.
